  • This years Christchurch Model Train show is on 5 & 6 October at Pioneer Stadium. I will be there with my NZ120 Kaikoura Coast layout raising the banner and hopefully creating interest in this great little scale. Please say hello, it would be great to chat to a fellow NZ120 modeller.

I use Peco Code 55 on the mainline and Code 80 in freight yards and sidings where the sleepers get buried. Therefore when a standard rail…[Read more]

Yes, the layout was at Wellington Rail Ex as Grahame has stated. The Levin club lads ran it on the Saturday and I was there on Sunday. Hopefully Grahame can get to upload his…[Read more]

Thanks all for the positive replies. Eurostar, re Irongate, that is classic stretch of railway I had hoped to fit on the layout, but unfortunately I couldn’t make it happen. The last module will mainly be of Oaro village which is nestled south of Oaro station and overbridge.

For the past few years I have been working on my “Kaikoura Coast” NZ120 modular layout and finally showed it in the recent Nelson Model Train Show. Included are photos of each module, with one still under construction. Three other photos show some of the rail and road tunnels included in the layout. The layout is still a work in progress with lots…[Read more]
