I have developed an interest in Oamaru and Hokitika railway stations and yards and would like some info with the view to modelling one of them. I've visited both recently (should have take more photos!), but really would like a plan (preferably) of Oamaru during the 1980s, or Hokitika when it still had its infrastructure in place (the loop that stands on the site now is just tragic).

Does anyone have a plan of either of the yards in the 80s, or a good set of photos that they're willing to share from which the plan can be deduced? Or, does anybody know if either station has featured in NZ Railfan or NZMRJ with a plan, and can you point me in the right direction to a particular issue? (Or any other publication).

Any help with this would be much appreciated :-)

I have an airial photo of Hokitika station yard 12-3-71 , It shows the bridge diry branch and warf line, this yard had a engine shed at one time - you can see the point where it went from.

the  photo i got in the 80s from Morrehouse av station blue print room  CHCH (the good old days) , Sorry' as i live here in Brisane a copy mite be out of the question but you you could try ferrymead as I dout thay would still be at the chch works depot at middelton.

Looking back I wish i had got lots more than I did  (30) all up, There are some there like Ranfurly I got at dun.. Rakia, Methvin that dont exist any more,  Westport and Graymouth with all there steam glory compleat with volcan and 88ers railcars.  There were lots of stations there and  branch lines long closed for the copeing, a opertunity lost?
