Boptrackgang modellers day

My effort for the day was to get the underframes onto the 8 wagons I had recently assembled.

John had started servicing his SD chassis, then made a start on construction of 2 Trackgang Uc-13 tank kits.

Len also made a start on a Trackgang kit. This one was an LPA highsider.

A great day had discussing all manner of things. What might we get up  to next month?

  1. Its a great place to get feedback on stalled projects or things you have been putting off for too long. I found bits missing from my kits, so it was the perfect place to advise the manufacturer. Lol!

  2. Sunday the 7th of May saw the monthly gathering of BOP modellers – joined by others from Rotorua and Graeme from Auckland. My efforts were to bring along a couple of cleaned 3D printed items and a metal forklift purchased from Kelmarna Model Shop’s stand at Morrinsville show.

I clean my 3D printed purchases by soaking in white spirits for a couple of hours, then after drying I scrub them with an old toothbrush. The forklift was improved with a roll cage, an LPG cylinder, and painting.

  3. Trying to convert a Bachmann Pacific K4 to NZR Aa Class. Started this at the modellers day. That day only managed to get the front and cab sides cut out so have some more progress since then.
